Here is a quick list of dog-friendly dining establishments in South Orange County, with an emphasis on the Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel and Aliso Viejo areas.
Most restaurants with a patio will allow your well-behaved dog to dine with you. Please let me know if I have left your favorite off of the list and I will add it to my latest update.
Enjoy!!!
Starbucks
Starbucks will make you pup a “Puppuccino” which is a small cup filled with whipped cream. It’s not on the menu so you need to ask about the “secret menu” item. Be aware though, if you have a puppy that cannot tolerate dairy, steer clear of this little treat.
Rock & Brews
With a dog-friendly patio and a doggie menu you and your pup are sure to have a great time dining together.
Shake Shack
The nearest one to OC is in West Hollywood. They offer delicious desserts custom made for your pups.
Johnny Rockets
Dogs are welcome at all locations on the patio. Not all locations have a doggie specialized menu. Call ahead.
Sprinkles Cupcakes
They offer Doggie Cupcakes which are great for any special occasion. They are sugar-free and topped with a yogurt frosting.
In-N-Out
Ask for the Flying Dutchman, an item on their “secret menu”, which contains two beef patties and two slices of cheese. Although they do not have an official “doggie menu”, this item is perfect for your burger lovin’ four legged friends.
Le Pain Quotidien
They have a location in Newport Beach and a dog-friendly patio. And if you don’t see the doggie treat jars, please ask the staff.
Dairy Queen
Ask for the “Pup Cup” the next time you are out with your pup at a DQ. It is a vanilla soft serve ice cream. Though they may offer it for free, some locations do charge for it.
Sonic Drive-In
Since it is a drive-in restaurant, all dogs are welcome. Ask if they have any doggie treats when you place your order. Some locations will accommodate.
Chic-fil-a
If you are using the drive-thru, ask if they have any snacks for your pooch. Some locations will accommodate.
Deemer’s American Grill
With a location in Laguna Niguel, they welcome dogs on their patio. Although they do not have a specific doggie menu, feel free to order a beef patty, chicken or turkey breast for your pooch. Yummy.
